SHII Takeover Dinner 5.4. at Restaurant Aihki
The first Aihki x Shii dinner in January 2026 sold out rapidly and received outstanding feedback from guests. Due to the exceptional interest, we are delighted to welcome SHII back to Pyhä for a second evening, this time as a SHII Takeover at Restaurant Aihki.
On Easter Sunday, 5 April 2026, Restaurant Aihki hosts a SHII Takeover Dinner, where Helsinki-based omakase restaurant SHII takes creative lead for the evening. The dinner is guided by SHII’s culinary philosophy and executed by Chef Nadim Nasser and the SHII team, bringing their distinctive omakase experience to the fell landscape of Pyhä.
Set against the returning light of spring and the quiet atmosphere of the Easter holiday, the evening offers guests a moment to slow down and immerse themselves in a focused, carefully paced dining experience.
The eight-course menu reflects SHII’s approach to modern Japanese cuisine: season-driven, precise, and restrained. The dishes are built around the finest available ingredients, allowing flavours, textures, and timing to take centre stage. As with all omakase dining, the menu evolves according to season and ingredient quality.
What does omakase mean?
Omakase is a Japanese dining philosophy that loosely translates to “I leave it to you.” At its core lies trust: guests place their experience in the hands of the chef, who composes the menu based on seasonality, ingredient quality, and intuition.
Guest Chef & SHII
The evening is led by Chef Nadim Nasser, founder and head chef of SHII, a highly regarded omakase and otsumami restaurant in central Helsinki. Known for its intimate counter dining and refined Japanese-inspired cuisine, SHII offers a quietly ambitious interpretation of omakase, combining Japanese techniques with carefully selected European and Japanese ingredients.
Nadim Nasser has previously worked in acclaimed Japanese-inspired kitchens, including Sushi Sho (Michelin-starred) in Stockholm and Omadi in Helsinki. His cooking is defined by precision, balance, and deep respect for ingredients.
